1. Overview

knowledgeOS is OrbitShift’s intelligence layer for capturing, organizing, and retrieving your organization’s collective knowledge - instantly.
It’s built to eliminate the friction between “knowing” and “doing” in enterprise sales cycles. Instead of searching through folders, decks, and docs, knowledgeOS lets your teams query your internal knowledge base in natural language and get verified, context-ready answers in seconds.

It continuously learns from your existing content - RFPs, case studies, proposals, FAQs, battlecards, and presentations - and enriches them with AI context, so your sales, presales, and marketing teams can answer any question with confidence.

In essence:
knowledgeOS turns scattered tribal knowledge into a living, searchable, and action-ready intelligence system - always up to date, always source-verified.

3. How to Build Your Knowledge Base

Step 1: Upload and Connect Sources
Go to your OrbitShift workspace → KnowledgeOS → Manage Sources.
Connect internal repositories such as:

  • Drive, SharePoint, or Notion folders
  • Uploaded files (PDFs, PPTs, DOCXs, etc.)
  • Past RFP responses, sales decks, FAQs, and email templates

knowledgeOS automatically indexes and tags each document by topic, product, industry, and recency.

Step 2: Organize and Verify
Once indexed, review the Knowledge Graph view.
You’ll see connections between themes (e.g., “AI RevOps”, “CX Automation”, “Sales Forecasting”).
Each asset is linked to:

  • Source (e.g., RFP response, case study)
  • Confidence score (system-generated)
  • Last verified date

Admins can flag outdated content or mark verified responses for official reuse.

Step 3: Enable AI Chat Access
Users can now ask questions like:

“What are OrbitShift’s differentiators in enterprise RFPs?”
“How does OrbitShift integrate with Salesforce?”
“Can I get a deck for Financial Services accounts?”

knowledgeOS surfaces the best-fit response with supporting context and the original source link.

4. Generating and Refining Answers

Query Panel
From your workspace, click Ask KnowledgeOS.

  • Type or paste your question.
  • The AI retrieves top-scoring content fragments and constructs a concise, factual response.
  • Every answer includes inline citations from your indexed materials.

Refinement Tools
You can:

  • Summarize – get a shorter, executive-level version.
  • Expand – turn a short response into a detailed explanation or proposal.
  • Format – convert into a paragraph, bullet summary, or slide outline.
  • Save as Draft – add to your proposal or deck workspace.

This workflow ensures each response is trustworthy, verifiable, and reusable across teams.

5. Building Knowledge Briefs

Knowledge Briefs help convert search results into usable outputs.
To create one:

  1. Click Save as Brief after generating an answer.
  2. Add optional metadata: account name, opportunity, or use case.
  3. Attach related assets (case studies, slides, or snippets).
  4. Share with team members or link to a CRM opportunity.

Example:
Query: “How does OrbitShift handle data privacy in EU regions?”
→ AI Response + verified snippets from legal FAQ
→ Brief created and tagged under “Compliance / EU”
→ Shared with presales for upcoming RFP section.

6. Presentation and Content Builder

knowledgeOS includes a built-in Deck Builder to assemble presentations fast.

Inside any workspace:

  • Click Build Presentation
  • Choose relevant slides or content snippets
  • Rearrange, add context notes, and export to PPT or PDF

Teams can reuse the best parts of past decks while ensuring message consistency.
Every slide is linked back to its verified source, so future updates remain synchronized.

7. Collaboration & Sharing

Share Answers and Briefs:

  • Push directly to Slack or MS Teams.
  • Share as “Smart Cards” with embedded context and source links.
  • Collaborate asynchronously - reviewers can comment or suggest edits within OrbitShift.

Connect with Other Modules:

  • From accountOS, trigger Knowledge Briefs tied to active opportunities.
  • From rfpOS, auto-populate sections using the most recent, verified content from knowledgeOS.
  • From marketingOS, pull case studies or messaging blocks for campaigns.

8. Measuring Impact

In the knowledgeOS Dashboard, you can track:

  • Number of queries answered this month
  • Time saved vs manual search
  • Top used documents and contributors
  • Most referenced content categories (RFPs, decks, case studies)
  • Win-rate lift for deals supported by verified content

These insights help identify which content drives the highest impact - and where to update or create new material.

9. Best Practices

  • Keep your content library current - review and verify assets quarterly.
  • Tag assets by themes (e.g., Industry, Product, Use Case) to improve retrieval accuracy.
  • Encourage users to “rate” AI answers for ongoing learning.
  • Build feedback loops: after every major deal win/loss, summarize learnings and upload them.
  • Integrate knowledgeOS early in onboarding - it’s your company’s internal brain.
